She looks like she was walking too.
Before they had colour films.
Hey mom, don't give it away! Isn't the resemblance amazing?!
Mom, do you know where this photo was taken?
hummm....I think it could be Amie or Denise...I'll go with Denise!
Hey Jordan, great to hear from you! How is life in Burford? Thanks for following Denise's blog. Unfortunately, you are wrong on your guess. You've got to think a little farther back in time. Blessings to you & Violet.
Is it your grandma on Grandma Orr's side? I have no idea. How do you expect people to do this if they don't know our family...you two are crazy! It is amazing how much you look like the person in question.
See you soon

Your right Amie. It is Denise's Grandma, Ethel Littlemore. Ethel and Sydney Littlemore did quite a bit of hiking in Canada and the USA. I think I remember hearing stories about walking in the Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec and the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Maybe Grandma Orr can fill us in on some of the history. I just wanted to show how much Denise resembled her grandma in appearance, interests and abilities. She's following a rich heritage of adventurers. So Amie, you can claim your prize when mom reaches Caronport in September. Thanks for the fun everyone.
Hi Denise We have been to a Gideon Convention in saskatoon so flew over you recently - I looked down from the air early the Sat morning we flew and thought somewhere down threr denise is perservering in her mission for the Lord!! You are so smart to have decided to get the walk in at the coolest times you can- the heat is a killer!!! Don't forget to drink a lot of water- I know what that does- more pee breaks- But the nurse in me just had to say it anyway! Luv and Prayers Jean ps That picture could have been Denise or Amie- amazing!!
Hey Denise, I am still praying for you. The map is so cool!! I can see how much closer you are getting to home!!
Yes this women in the jodpers is Ethel Littlemore .My mom and dad walked the north shore of Gaspe . I don;t know how far along they went but it was in 1939 the year the war started and they saw many convoys of army trucks as they walked . In August it snowed on them. They met many nice folks along the way and kept in touch with some families for many years after. My mother must have been 36 and dad was 48. many people thought she was his daughter.
When they visited Ste. Anne De Boupray (?spelling)Mom was not allowed to enter because she had shorts on. They hitch hiked and carried their pup tent and camping equipment on their backs. They camped along the roadside and in farmers feilds .They went first to Ottawa and had their picture taken at the war memmorial. We three children were being looked after by a family on our street in Toronto. I was 4 Ron 6 and mary 3.
To see their poems go to THE LITTLEMORE BOOK.Mark put it together and posted it on the web.
